A red flag is raised when air quality levels become unacceptable (150 IMECA points of ozone). Outdoor PE and swimming classes cease. PE activities are moved into the air filtered gymnasium. As levels of pollution and ambient temperatures change rapidly in Mexico City, students must bring swimming kit on scheduled days and any decision not to swim is taken by the school.
