Intermediate and Senior Residential School Trips

Every year the school offers a variety of residential trips. They vary from year to year but the list below gives you an idea of the types of trips that are offered.

  1. TRIP: Trip to study turtle conservation in Playa Ventura (this trip is not compulsory) available to: Forms 6

  2. TRIP: Ruta de Hidalgo available to: Form 1 students

  3. TRIP: Geography Field Trip to Patzcuaro available to: Lower 6 Geographers

  4. TRIP: White Water Rafting available to: Forms 3 & 4 students

  5. TRIP: Trip to study whales (not compulsory) available to: Forms L6 / U6

  6. TRIP: White Water Rafting to Rio Filobobos, Veracruz available to: Forms 2 students

  7. TRIP: Camping Trip to Tepeji del Rio available to: Forms 1 students

  8. TRIP: Geography Field Trip to Jungapeo available to: Form 4 Geographers

  9. TRIP: Ski Trip to Colorado available to: Junior 4 & 5 / Forms 1-U6

ACTIVITIES DAYS TRIPS (Last  week of school year)

Attendance is compulsory

Form 1 Hacienda Santa Cruz, Mazatepec near Taxco, Morelos with Kin Camp professionals.

Adventure education complementing our school curriculum : visit to Grutas de Cacahuamilpa, geology, with outdoor recreation, swimming pool, ball games, zip-line, rappel, rock climbing, target practice,  archery,  team work strategies .

Form 2  CDI Sports and Adventure Centre, near Tepozotlan with Kin Camp professionals:

Adventure education complementing our school curriculum. Activities selected from zip-line, climbing, professional target practice, archery, commando ropes course, large swimming pool, team work strategies.

Form 3 Rancho Viejo, near Valle de Bravo with Mundo Rancho Viejo professional activity company.

Form 4  whole year group residential trip to the state of Veracruz. 

Students will compliment their studies from earlier in the year with a visit to the museum in Jalapa and be involved in community service in a rural school in the area.  Accommodation is at an adventure camp with rafting and other activities on offer.

Form 5  Three days in Valle de Bravo

 The trip includes a meeting with the Ecological Organisation and an afternoon working on the lake. Opportunities for water sports and horse riding. A visit to an indigenous village to assess needs in conjunction with the local municipality.  A chance to work and play together as a year group.

Lower 6 Ecology Field trip for Biology SL/HL and ES students.

Compulsory for internal Assessment (24% for IB grade). Leaving Thursday to Sunday  (4 days, 3 nights).  Jalcomulco and Apazapán, Veracruz . This trip is compulsory for all the Biology and Environmental Systems students since it represents 16 hours for practical work. The projects will be completed as lab work on school premises the following Tuesday  to Thursday.
