Primary Years Programme
As you are probably aware Greengates has been a successful International Baccalaureate Diploma school since 1986. This is to advise you that we have decided to introduce the IBO Primary Years Programme in the Infant and Junior School. Our main reasons for adopting the Primary Years Program - usually referred to as PYP - are as follows:
· to meet the needs of our international community - today we have over 50 nationalities represented in school
· to ensure our Mexican pupils are prepared for a global future - providing children with the skills and attitudes they need for an international environment
· to provide continuity (in practice and philosophy) when our children transfer to other international schools - we serve a transient community where the average pupil stays less than 4 years
· to offer an appropriate curriculum in the 21st century - providing children with the values and opportunities that will enable them to develop sound judgement and to choose wisely.
