Uniforms

All children in K2-J5 must wear black leather shoes on school uniform days. Black tennis shoes are no longer allowed. This change is because many parents have said that plain black tennis shoes are very difficult to find. Remember on PE uniform days children should wear white tennis shoes as always. Kindly refer to either this year’s green A to Z book.

AS USED IN SCHOOL

Hot weather

During very hot periods the Head of the Infant and Junior School may advise families that children are allowed to wear the white polo shirt and grey shorts of the PE uniform.

Cold weather

In January and February early morning temperatures can fall to almost zero centigrade. The white long sleeved, polo neck shirt and green fleece (with or without sleeves) may be worn by all children in cold weather. Gloves and scarves are also available. Woollen tights may be worn only if they are one solid colour: dark green, white or grey.

Trips

On day trips children are expected to wear correct school uniform. For certain excursions P.E. kit may be requested if deemed suitable. Children’s own clothes are worn on all residential trips.

Jewellery

It is not appropriate for children to wear jewellery to school. Such items are not only easily lost, but are hazardous during physical activity. However, children may wear inexpensive watches and small stud earrings, but necklaces and bracelets may not be worn.

Important

Ø  Girls must tie their hair up with ribbons or hair bands matching the uniform colours.

Ø  No nail polish.

Ø  All children are expected to wear the correct school uniform.

Ø  For safety reasons children must not come to school wearing “Wheelies”. If this does occur the children will have to call home and wait in Jessica’s office until their correct shoes arrive in school!

Ø  Skate boards are never allowed on school premises.
