Welcome to the Greengates PTA
Our
Mission here at
Greengates
School is to promote the interests
and wellbeing of students as well as other stakeholders of the Greengates
Community. Achieving this
Mission includes, but is not limited to the
following:
-
Fundraising
activities mainly through our annual Greengates International Fair.
-
Promoting Community
engagement through Annual Social Support Activities,
-
Raising awareness
of environmental Issues through paper drives & other activities,
-
Organizing important cultural events through the
SEP-PTA, such as the "Altar de Muertos" in November and the
Christmas "Posada",
-
Welcome coffee for new parents at the beginning of
the school year,
-
Publication and distribution of the school family
directory,
-
Presentation of graduation rings and special awards
on Speech Day.
We encourage any parent
to participate on the PTA. A general session is held at the beginning
of the school year in which various committees are put together,
welcoming energetic and hardworking parent volunteers.
Volunteering takes many forms and different levels of involvement but there
is always something for anyone who is interested in getting more involved
with the child's school. We meet the
first Wednesday of every month @ 6:00PM
in the PTA Conference room.
Annual dues for the PTA are charged by family and
usually paid at the same time as the school registration fees. PTA
dues can be paid at the School Cashier's Office. Payment of fees will
include the delivery of a copy per family of school directory. This
directory is usually produced and distributed before the end of Term One.
