Welcome to
the
Diploma Programme
of the International Baccalaureate
The
Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate (IB) has been an external
hallmark of excellence for Greengates School since 1986 and together with
the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E) provides
the backbone of the Senior School curriculum. The IB is therefore a pre-university
course taken by all students in the final two years of the Senior School.
In addition to taking the IB Diploma all students should graduate with the
Greengates High School Diploma too.
The programme is based on the assumption that breadth
and academic rigour are the best preparation for university study and the
team of highly experienced teachers and college counsellors has enabled this
school’s students to gain entry to some of the best universities in the world.
Students graduating from Greengates with the IB Diploma will truly be ‘out
there with confidence’ as they continue on to form their future careers and
adult lives.
We hope you enjoy browsing through the following pages
of detail about our programme. Applications to the school for placement should
be made through the Principal. Further information, however, is available
through that office, the office of the Head of Senior School or through the
e-mail address below.
