Greengates School 50th Anniversary Celebrations

On the evening of May 11th, 2001
over 600 people - staff, parents, ex-students and friends of Greengates, gathered
to celebrate the 50th Anniversary. Guests enjoyed a tour of the beautiful Chapultepec Castle and then were entertained in the main terrace by The Ensemble
and Soloists from Greengates Orchestra.
Other entertainment included a Scots Piper, and a concert performance by the "Conjunto de Camara "Moscow" de la Ciudad de Mexico".
Speeches were made by the Principal, Mrs. Susan Mayer and The Director, Mr. Henry Coelho.
His Excellency, the British Ambassador Mr.Adrian Thorpe also spoke.
It was a successful and happy evening for all those involved and it was moving to see so many faces new and old enjoying the 50th anniversary celebrations in such beautiful surroundings.
