Founded in 1951 north of Mexico City in Naucalpan de Juárez, Greengates School is a private, selective, international school of British heritage with about 1,000 students. Greengates holds a high reputation for academic excellence and represents a multicultural community. 

Greengates has been proud to be among the first in Mexico to teach from accredited international and British curricula. These world-renowned curricula and our global opportunities through Nord Anglia Education, which we joined in 2022, guide students to achieve more.

We have several seals of excellence at Greengates, ensuring the high quality of your child’s education throughout their time at our school. Beginning with our youngest students, we're the only private school in Mexico to be accredited to teach the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), which require a rigorous review process from other international schools. 

For our Secondary students, Greengates has been an exam centre for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) course examinations, developed under the authority of Cambridge Assessment International Education. Since 1986, Greengates has also been an official International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and Exam Centre. The IB carefully reviews every aspect of our delivery of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) to ensure the highest quality: from our philosophy to our physical building. 

Within Mexico, the Secretaria de Educacion Publica (SEP) and The Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM) recognise Greengates as one of the most relevant private schools in the country. Our accreditations from SEP and UNAM allow our students to pursue higher education in Spain, Portugal, and Italy and across Latin America.
