STRUCTURED SUPPORT
SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PERSONAL GUIDANCE
We also weave learning opportunities that support well-being directly into our curricula, beginning in Primary School. Students take personal, social and health education classes (PSHE), where they learn about local and global issues and reflect on how they can make a difference. This helps them begin to understand their potential impact in the world.
By Secondary School, students meet daily with their Form Tutor, who offers social, emotional, and personal guidance to each child, within a small peer group. Form Tutors lead activities that help each child to strengthen relationships, build trust, and nurture their independence.
Once our students enter the IGCSE and IB programmes of Upper Secondary, they also receive crucial support around their course choices, so their academic progress and well-being can come together in harmony during these important decisions.
LEARNING THROUGH SERVICE
By Secondary School, our students become drivers of activities through the ‘CAS’ component (Creativity, Activity, Service) of the IB Diploma Programme. Through CAS, they build their social responsibility in our local or global communities. They’ve been teaching English to disadvantaged youth, collecting donations for victims of natural disasters, and gathering plastic bottles for recycling, for example.
