In today’s fast-moving world of technology, artificial intelligence and digital skills, the performing arts are more important than ever.
They help students slow down, reflect and develop essential human qualities such as emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to listen. Through theatre, dance and music, students build empathy, confidence and awareness of themselves and others.
The performing arts are not only a form of expression. They are a real-life skill that nurtures creativity, discipline, communication and critical thinking.
At Greengates, we believe these experiences benefit students far beyond the classroom. Whether through lessons or extracurricular activities, the performing arts strengthen confidence and contribute positively to our whole community.
Through Nord Anglia’s collaboration with Juilliard Creative Classroom, our teachers access high-quality resources created by experts from Juilliard and Nord Anglia. These materials enrich our dance, drama and music lessons across a wide range of topics and learning experiences.
In the Drama department, particularly in Key Stage 3, students have explored new approaches that expand their creativity and learning.
This year marks three years of this valuable collaboration, which continues to strengthen our Performing Arts programme and bring meaningful opportunities to our students.
