As educators at Greengates School Mexico, we are committed not only to providing a first-class academic education, but also to developing well-rounded individuals who are socially responsible and globally aware. We are constantly striving to make our students more locally and globally aware, and to give them the opportunity to help others and make their contribution to our society more meaningful and stronger. Our vision is to make Greengates a leader in positive change, helping to address social injustices and challenges in our world.
Our primary focus is to achieve the 17 Social Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. These SDGs are set as a way for individuals, schools, and organisations to work together towards making a significant impact in the world. The goals are:

The involvement of students, parents and teachers is vital for making social impact meaningful here at Greengates. We will be implementing monthly charity drives, whole school days, such as World Peace Day, and trips out of school with a focus on helping our local community through social impact Saturdays, such as helping to paint EST. 27, a local SEP school in a deprived area. We are also looking to lead social events for our students such as a football tournament in Mineral del Monte and organising a basketball tournament in our local area.
Making a difference in the world is always important. No matter how small the effort is, social impact impacts everyone in many ways. When one component of society thrives, many other aspects of our lives will flourish. This can lead to bigger and better changes. The 17 Social Development Goals are helping different components of society in different ways and different capacities and our aim is to make this a big part of our focus here at Greengates.
